Declaration

I/We hereby declare that all information supplied in this credit application, together with the supporting documentation, has been provided truthfully, accurately, and willingly for the sole purpose of allowing the Credit Provider to assess my/our application.

I/We confirm that:

  • The information furnished is true, complete, and correct to the best of my/our knowledge.
  • I/We have not withheld or misrepresented any facts that could reasonably influence the Credit Provider’s decision regarding the granting of credit.
  • I/We fully understand that providing false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in the rejection of this application and may disqualify me/us from the protection afforded under the National Credit Act, No. 34 of 2005.
  • I/We am/are not currently subject to any administration order, sequestration, or debt restructuring order issued by a competent court for the management of my/our financial affairs.
  • I/We understand and accept that the Credit Provider reserves the right to verify the information supplied, including conducting credit checks, employment verification, and any other relevant background assessments.

Marriage Regime Acknowledgement

I/We further acknowledge and confirm that:

  • If I am married in community of property, I am legally required to obtain my spouse’s consent to enter into this credit agreement. Accordingly, both spouses must apply for the credit facility and sign this declaration jointly.
  • If I am married out of community of property (with or without accrual), I may enter into this agreement in my personal capacity without the consent or signature of my spouse.

Suretyship / Co-Signers

Where this application is supported by a co-signer, guarantor, or surety:

  • The co-signer/guarantor confirms that they understand the nature and extent of the obligations being undertaken.
  • The co-signer/guarantor agrees to be bound jointly and severally with the principal debtor for all amounts due under this agreement.
  • The co-signer/guarantor acknowledges that they may be held fully liable in the event of default by the primary applicant(s).
